Glebe House
Glebe House is a late Georgian vicarage, situated in an elevated position
overlooking the village of Southleigh, with superb views over the lovely
Coly Valley. This is an idyllic rural location in the heart of East Devon,
yet only 2½ miles from the World Heritage Jurassic Coast.
This lovely house has been the family home of
Chuck and Emma Guest since 1980, and is ideally situated for
the exploration of Dorset and Somerset, with the fossil laden
cliffs of Lyme Regis and Charmouth close by. The famous old
fishing villages of Beer and Branscombe are 2 ½ miles and the
lace town of Honiton is six miles. Colyton, with the last traditional
tannery in England is just down the valley and the Regency town
of Sidmouth is to the west. The city of Exeter with its beautiful
cathedral and close is thirty minutes, and its international
airport just twenty minutes away.
Although the position is secluded, there is an
excellent choice of pubs and restaurants close by.

Glebe House is
set in its own grounds of 15 acres/ 7 hectares, with a large
mature garden. The outdoor heated swimming pool and tennis court
are available by arrangement.
There are three very comfortable en suite bedrooms which
are well equipped with T.V., radio/CD, tea and coffee making facilities,
mini fridge for cold water and fresh milk, hair dryers and free wireless
broadband connection.
Breakfast is served in the conservatory under a magnificent
60 year old vine or in the morning room, both of which have stunning views
over the valley.
There is a guest sitting area on the large landing upstairs
with TV and DVD, bookshelves and comfy sofas.
